My First Donation
I finally got up the courage to donate a quilt! It is for my daughter's dance recital.
Every year the dance school asks everyone if they would like to donate something to be given away at the recital. This is our second year at the school and I thought it was time to donate a small quilt.
This is a bandana quilt (I have been wanting to make one for a while now) that was super simple to put together. I used the no binding method and used one of the fancy stitches on my machine to tack it together.

Farmer's Wife Quilt
As if I don't have enough w.i.ps right now, I have to go and add a really intense quilt. I recently found this book.
Oh my gosh! The blocks finish at 6"! Lots of tiny templets but I really like the looks of them.
This is the fabric I have chosen to work with. It is hard to tell from the photo but most of them are Texas themed prints with a few western themed ones thrown in. I am excited to get started and see how the fabrics work with the little templates.
Wish me luck!

Welcome!
I might be a little late to the blogging party, but I made it! I just started this blog to chronolog my quilting progress. I have been quilting for a couple years and have completed a few quilts. I do all my sewing and quilting on my domestic Janome machine and love it! One day I would love to get a long arm machine, but that would be the distant future.
